Albania has always been a patriarchal country, which means that men have always run families and businesses. This phenomenon also affects the financial side. However, in my family business it didn't work like that. From the beginning both my parents have worked together and made the the business growth from a small bar to a large restaurant-hotel that is today. The business has not only survived but flourished through the years. According to Van Auken & Werbel (2006) spousal devotion play the key role for business maintenance. In the picture below, it shows the cooperation that my parents have had in the growth of the business which is present in a metaphorical way. The father was the head and the mother the backbone that kept the business growing. Financial performance in my family business has been great so far. Even though, after Covid-19 along with emigration abroad which caused the decrease in the labour force, have affected the country's economy. Still my family business has had a good financial performance, and this is especially thanks to the great cooperation of my parents.
