Values are the glue that binds the family, the business and its employees. They usually reflect the founder’s philosophy and act as a guide to “the way we do business”. Sometimes they are enshrined in statements of ‘core values’ that are frequently referred to in company communications and that underpin day-to-day decision-making.
The reason behind the growth of my family business over the years , the culture in the company plays an important role in that. Omega group has offices all around the world and production plants all across India. Tho there might be different production plants and offices , the culture remains the same. With some employees happily working with us from past 20 years and helping the company grow.
Omega groups culture involves trust, respect, and the opportunity for employees to participate in shared values and love what they do.It’s based on honest, productive conversations and helps the company to identify issues and collectively form resolutions.
Values are indeed implemented by the founder and developed on his philosophy and way of management but, they are as well impacted by the involved family members, the outlook of the future, and the market being covered by the business. To maintain a similar culture in different locations is agreeably an easier task in the family business though it takes a constant effort of maintainance.
