We are a family business operating in the construction sector. We were first established with the initiatives of my father and his cousins. As time passed and our family became bigger, we had to separate because some people were jealous of each other. Now 4 different cousins with the same last name are doing this business with their own families. Over time, because of the people who entered our family later, people were separated and we had to continue by establishing different companies.

@Burak Çiftçi Your post captures an important family business challenge—how growth and family dynamics can lead to separation. It would be great to explore what specific tensions caused divisions—was it leadership, decision-making, or financial control? Bringing in concepts like succession planning or governance structures could add depth. Have any of the separate companies maintained collaboration, or is competition stronger? Adding insights from family business theories could help link your experience to broader industry patterns.
