Why you think there has been an increasing number of family business courses over the last 2 decades?
One word answer: Awareness.
See due to access of information around us this day is phenomenal. People started to understand that the kind of education which we get in our school/college/universities is purely developing student to become an employee rather than a entrepreneur. Earlier there was few means of information available about what’s going on around us, but now due to social media and platforms a boy who is son of a person who we employ knows what assets and liabilities are, how he can choose to be self employed and not to be employee anymore like his father. This is for employee mindset people.
For people like us who are into business, when we choose BBA as our Bachelors we thought it will help but it didn’t help us becoming the business owner but the employee of a company. Many students have awareness that if they want to join their family business they should get into college where they get to network with other students who come from different business background, they should get taught about assets management and how to utilise the loan and capitalise on several different things.
