My family business is a project management company which was founded by my dad, who continuous to do it today. The business is quite professionalized and has very structured workflows, financial tracking and many dedicated teams to handle the various operations. Performance is measured across multiple dimensions and family involvement is balanced with professional management, business success is tracked through the completion of projects and how long they take to complete, along with client satisfaction and whether they are able to stick to the very strict business strategy process. The competitive positioning is assessed by securing contracts and jobs against other project management company's in the industry and financial performance is monitored through the revenue growth and profitability, all of which have been trending in the right direction over the years.

Thanks for sharing a clear snapshot of how your family business runs—it’s great to see how structured and performance-driven it is. That said, I’d love to hear more about the family side of the story. What tensions or paradoxes come up? Also, adding a real example or referencing any models would really help ground your points and make them more relatable.
