The problems which the company is facing right now is the difference of opinion among the top management of the company regarding the core and expansion of the business. This results in delaying of decisions and chaos among the family. The family business conflicts results in ignoring of good ideas if the there is a conflict between the 2 members who don't like each other. In Paradox2: Ways of Framing FBs
Family businesses reduces the costs overall as more of the family members contribute in running the business, this results in increase of sale and profit. I feel these are good till some point as conflicts are inevitable. When the shares of the company are not divided equally among the family members or the shares are not yet transferred to the members who are working in the family, conflicts are bound to happen.
